Rosemary Elizabeth Smith, born on August 6, 1932, in Falls City, Nebraska, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2024. Rosemary's journey began at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Falls City, NE, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with love, traveling, and cherished memories.
Rosemary embarked on a career as a secretary at Boys Town in Omaha NE where she met her soulmate, Tim Smith. Their life together took them to numerous homes in Nebraska, Alabama, Illinois, Iowa & Arkansas.Their life together took them to numerous homes in Nebraska, Alabama, Illinois, Iowa & Arkansas. It is in Arkansas that she got her CNA certification. She worked a number of years for Area Agency on Aging. Alongside Tim, she created a haven of love and warmth. After Tim’s death in 1995 Rosemary ultimately settled in Claremore, OK for her final years.
In her leisure time, Rosemary found joy in simple pleasures. From strawberry shakes, long walks to card games with friends and family, and
numerous camping trips with Tim. While in Arkansas they could be found almost every weekend out on their boat on Beaver Lake. They often took family and friends fishing, skiing or just picnicking.
Rosemary's spirit lives on through her cherished family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy that will endure through generations. She is survived by her daughter Donna Asauskas (Steve); daughter in law Cathy Smith; 6 grandchildren; Jacob(Kerry), Stephanie(Dustin), Michaela, Melissa(Russell), Sean & Ryan(Abby).7 great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Avery, Kaleb, Grayson, Braxton, Adelyn, David.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tim Smith; son Michael Smith; daughter Diana Corbett; siblings Helen Goltz, Rita Dunavan, Maryann Faller, Leonard Niemeyer; all of whom shared connections with Rosemary throughout her remarkable life.
Rosemary Elizabeth Smith will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, life's travel's, and the kindness she extended to all who crossed her path. May she rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donation to be made to Emerald Hospice.
