Rowdy Wayne Givens

Celebration of Life services for Rowdy Wayne Givens will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at Inola Funeral Home. Rowdy passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the age of 60.

Rowdy was born to Leonard Givens and Sharon (Sorrels) Givens on August 2, 1963, in Tulsa, OK. He grew up in the Locust Grove area and attended school there, where he played high school football and developed a lifelong love for sports.

Rowdy was known for his hard work and dedication, spending many years working in construction as a carpenter. He was passionate about archery and won many championships, including a Texas world title. Hunting and spending time in the woods were his favorite escapes, and he cherished the peace and solitude of nature. Rowdy had a great sense of humor and could make about any situation funny with his wit. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, granddaughter Addison Bergstrom, and nephew Lundin Hathcock.

Rowdy is survived by his mother, Sharon Lowe and her husband Bobby; his son, Cameron Givens; daughter, Christina Applegate and her husband Kyle; brother, Dwayne Givens and his wife Bernadette; sister, Deedee Summerfield and her husband Billy; grandchildren, Tristan Bergstrom, Bradlee Applegate, Frankie Applegate, and Lucian as well as many nieces and other family members.
