Roxey L. Podpechan was born September 25, 1943 and resided in Oklahoma most of her life in Rogers County. She departed on January 17, 2016 in Bonita Springs, FL her home for the last year. She had been ill for several months with cancer.
Roxey was born in Talala, OK to Ocey Irene Donaho Battles and Earl Battles. She was preceded in death by both parents and her brother Charlie Battles. She was a long standing business owner in Chelsea, OK owning both Chelsea Real Estate and co-owner of Chelsea Tipple Mining. Roxey Podpechan was a very private individual unless it concerned something she was passionate about. A long-time supporter of education she supported her children to attend and graduate from university as well as mentored many youth in their desire to become established in business.
She is survived by her husband Frank W. Podpechan, children Ranee Taylor, Todd Nelson and Tanna Aaron. Also grandchildren Tara Nelson, Nikki Aaron, Madison Taylor and Jade Nelson; great grand-children Starrleigh and Matthew Aaron. Additional family members are: Mary Fitzgerald and Julio Melendez, Trey and Kelly Karlovich, Nicholas and Corrie Karlovich; Joe and Janice Podpechan, Sarah and Will Podpechan; Luanne and Lorn Lyman, Geoff and Megan Hale; Jan and Mike Grisham; Jim and Joyce Battles, as well as three great grand-children.

Services will be conducted 10 a.m., Monday, January 25, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Haase officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., with the family greeting friends 4-6 p.m.
