Funeral service for Roy Chasteen will be 2 p.m., Fri., Feb. 19, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Rex Duncan and Roger Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Fri. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Roy Randolph Chasteen, the son of Hestle Ezekiel Chasteen and Zelma Leo Carter Chasteen passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, in his home in Mannford, Oklahoma at the age of 71 with his wife of 18 years by his side. He and Ella were married on November 24th, 1997, in Miami, Oklahoma.
Roy is survived by his wife, Ella of the home; his two children, son, Merlin Dwight Chasteen of Holdenville, Oklahoma, and daughter, Hope Elaine Casteen Toler of Inola, Oklahoma; four step-children: Rex Duncan and wife of Claremore, Oklahoma, Randy Duncan and wife of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roger Duncan and wife of Jennings, Oklahoma, and Veronica Hendricks and husband of Mannford, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers: Buford and wife, Homer and wife, Lonnie, Daniel and wife, Otto and wife, and sister-in-law, Sue Chasteen all of Inola, Oklahoma; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Merlin, Lester, and Donald.
Roy retired from Pixley Lumber Company in Claremore, Oklahoma after 30 years of service.
His favorite past times included fishing and spending time with "The little light of his life" his great-granddaughter, Zillyann. He also enjoyed spending time with special friends: Otto, Robin, Bill, Wanda, and Antonio.
