Roy Jesse Morse

Services for Roy Morse will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-8 p.m, with family greeting friends from 5-8 p.m.

Roy Jesse Morse passed away on Friday, November 29th, 2019 at the age of 83.

The son of Gladys Willis and Delitha Love Morse was born January 22nd, 1936, in Ledamon, Oklahoma. As a young boy he was raised near Madill in the town of Ravia, where he would attend high school. In 1954 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Eventually Roy ended up in Topeka, Kansas. It was there that he met Helen Wages. They began dating, and married on August 25, 1956, in Leavenworth, Kansas. Roy and Helen would spend the next 36 years in Leavenworth. During that time, Roy worked a couple of jobs, mostly for B.F. Goodwrench, and as an insurance salesman. In 1986 Roy and his family moved to Claremore, where he continued working in retail sales until retiring.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; son, Randy; siblings, Bill, Doad, Travis, John Henry, Melvin, Fralender, Kathy Swain, Maggie Jones, and Margie Caldwell.

Survivors include his sons, Eric Morse, Donald Morse and wife Angela, and Shane Morse; grandchildren, Troy, Josh, Amber, Kaunstance, Helen, Dale, Khrysstance, Tyler and Cattrinna, and sister, Ruby Pope, along with 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
