Funeral service for Ruby "Pearl" Burchett will be 11 a.m., Mon., Jan. 3, at The Sanctuary Christian Worship Center with Pastor Garry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m.
Pearl died Wed., Dec. 29, 2010, at Rolling Hills Care Center, Catoosa, at the age of 87.
The daughter of Arthur Allen and Mary Ethel (Hann) Custer was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Chautauqua, KS. They moved to Oklahoma in 1930. Pearl attended Whitehill and Waller schools. On Aug. 26, 1938, Pearl married Harvey Andrew Burchett in Claremore. They lived in Cooties Bluff, OK, and Tracey, CA, for a short time before moving to rural Chelsea. In 1977, she moved into town. Pearl worked as a custodian for nursing homes; and was active in her church, The Sanctuary Christian Worship Center. Pearl's family and her church were the important things in her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey in 1977; her parents; brothers: Wade, Irvin, Jasper "Dud", Glen, Bob, and Wayne "Buck" Custer; sister, Opal Morgan; and granddaughter, Teri Lynn Rose.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, “Pat” Loretta Faye Wilson and her husband, Tom of Chelsea; grandson, Tony Wilson of Pennsylvania; great-grandson, Quatro Brinlee and wife, Kristie; great-granddaughter, Lindsay Lynn Rose; great-great-grandson, Ford Brinlee; great-great-granddaughter, KennaDee Brinlee; and sisters: Marjorie Park of Claremore, and Lela Peyton of Texas.
