Ruby Bernice Rusk

Ruby Bernice Rusk Lackey went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2019.
She was born on January 30, 1930 to Lee Praid Rusk and Clema Dustman Rusk in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four siblings, three children, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Ruby Bernice grew up in Westville, Oklahoma and attended Westville Schools. She married Alfred Burke in 1948, and they had eight children; Barbara Fors, Brenda Campbell (Ken), Julie Jansen, Patricia Rogers (Mike), Paula Long (Verne), preceded by Carol Burke, Beverly Burke, and Alfred Burke, Jr. She has 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was known by her family as Momma, Grandma, Granny, Aunt B., and Aunt Bonnie.
She worked as a professional cook and took cake decorating classes. She loved shopping, traveling, and spending time with family.
Services are at 1 pm December 14, at Lifechanger Church, Claremore, Oklahoma.
