Ruthalee Roundtree

Graveside services for Ruthalee Roundtree will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at MMS-Payne Funeral Home.

Ruthalee passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on July 13, 1930, in Albion, OK, to Jack and Jamie (Ashworth) Roundtree. Ruthalee spent her early childhood in Albion before moving to Claremore. She attended Claremore schools and graduated with the class of 1948.

After high school, Ruthalee began working at the J.M. Davis Coffee Shop in downtown Claremore. While working there, she met J.D. Seals, who also worked for J.M. Davis. The couple began dating and later married. She worked for many years at Claremont Elementary in the cafeteria before retiring. Ruthalee enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching nature, especially birds and squirrels. She loved going on rides around Claremore Lake, visiting garage sales, and her favorite snack, Almond Hershey Kisses.

Ruthalee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons Jeff Seals and Tom Jones. She is survived by her son, Mike Seals, and his wife Cheryl; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Jones; grandchildren, Kimberly O'Dell and her husband Kevin, Katy Hartrum and her partner Brie, Joshua Draeger and his wife Kimberly, and Matthew Draeger; great-grandchildren, Ryker Hartrum, Colin O'Dell, and Cameron Draeger. She is also survived by a very special friend, Regina Henson along with many other family members and friends.
