Sarah Chloe Buckman

Funeral service for Sarah Chloe Buckman will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday 3-7 p.m.
Sarah died Wed., Dec. 22, 2010, in Crossville, TN, at the age of 89.
The daughter of Leon W. and Nancy Jane (Miller) Robertson was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Claremore. She attended schools in Claremore and Winfield, KS. Sarah graduated from Winfield High School in 1939. She married Jack Wilson Buckman on April 29, 1939, in Newkirk, OK. Sarah worked as an operator and clerk for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She retired in 1984, after 33 years of service. Sarah was active in the community. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church of Claremore, and served on numerous church committees. Sarah was also a member of the Ladies of the Elks, and OES Chapter in Arizona. She volunteered at the Will Rogers Museum, Claremore Indian Hospital, and Rogers County Election Board.
Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents; and siblings: Raymond, Juanita, Orin, Edwin, Mary Ella, Nelson, Bertha Mae, Evelyn, and Betty Jane.
She is survived by her daughters: Nita Jean Sixkiller of Wichita, and Jacqueline Delaney of Crossville, TN; sons: Robert Buckman of Lodi, CA, and James Buckman of Park City, UT; grandchildren: Alisa Sixkiller Bridge, Stacy Sixkiller Poelma, Jack Sixkiller, Michelle Delaney James, Rhett Delaney, Tony Buckman, Samantha Buckman Seibel, Jackie Rae Buckman, and Alana Patricia Buckman; great-grandchildren: Sarah Jane Sixkiller, Anna Rose Poelma, Analisa Marie Bridge, Tawney Buckman, Maggie Jane Delaney, Connor Dodson Delaney, Alexander Joseph Sixkiller, Robbie Seibel, Hannah Seibel, Isabelle Seibel, Benjamin Seibel, and Lucas William Poelma; sister, Roberta Helen Bennett; and brother, Marion "Buddy" Robertson.
