Service for Scott Hinds will be 1:00p.m., Monday, February 24, 2025, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, February 23, from 4pm-6pm. Scott passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was 59.
Scott O. Hinds was born on May 1, 1965, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Wilma (Harris) Hinds. Scott's early years were spent in Claremore, where he completed his education, graduating with the class of 1983. He began his career working alongside his brother in concrete work, specializing in stem walls and pools. His professional journey then led him to join the company Hulcher, further establishing his reputation as a dedicated worker.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Scott will remember his vibrant personality and zest for life. He found joy in spending time with his family and friends, and his ability to light up any gathering made him the life of the party. Scott was an avid traveler who cherished adventures, often attending car shows that showcased his passion for vintage automobiles, particularly his beloved 1956 Chevy truck. A lover of storytelling, Scott enjoyed watching old westerns as well as reality shows like Survivor, and he could often be found engaging in lively discussions on Facebook, sharing his opinions and insights with friends and family.
Scott's love of animals was evident, as he had a special fondness for his dogs. He truly valued the companionship they brought into his life.
Scott is survived by his son, Bradley Hinds, he also leaves behind his siblings: Stoney Hinds and wife Ginger, Stacy Hinds and wife Suzi, Bill Hinds and wife Keri, and Angela Harges. Additionally, Scott was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews: Colton Hinds, Jordon Hinds, Kaleb Hinds, Cheyanne Cross and husband Colby, Wesley Hinds, Makenzie Murtagh and husband Cian, Zachary Hinds, Morgan Osler, Macey Osler, Micah Harges, Shaedi Gillum and husband Dale, Linda Foster and husband Walter, Ethan Harges, and Aaron Harges, along with several great nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Wilma Hinds.
