Sharlee Bee Garner, a beloved member of the Chelsea community, passed away on September 9, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love. She was born on June 22, 1962, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to her loving parents Charley and Delores Golay. Growing up in Ponca City, Sharlee attended Ponca City High School.
Sharlee was known for her warm and outgoing personality, which shone brightly during her career as a waitress at the Chelsea Main Street Diner. She greeted each customer with a smile and made their dining experience truly memorable. Her great sense of humor made everyone feel comfortable and brought joy to their lives.
Outside of work, Sharlee had a wide range of interests and hobbies that reflected her adventurous spirit. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, going four-wheel driving, and spending quality time with her family, friends and most of all her grandbabies.
Sharlee's proudest accomplishment in life was undoubtedly was her role as a grandmother. She poured immense love into her grandchildren's lives and cherished the moments spent with them. Whether it was storytelling or playing games together, Sharlee created treasured memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
Throughout her journey, Sharlee found strength in the support of her loved ones. She is survived by her loving husband James Garner, as well as her children Ricky Kolberg, Michelle Kolberg, Freddy Twist, Orin Twist, and stepson Jeremiah Garner and her ten grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind two brothers, Sam Golay and Stoney Golay, and her sister, Sherry Staggs.
Sharlee is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Stuart and Steve.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 14, 2023 at the Chelsea Funeral Home located at 601 Vine St, Chelsea, OK 74016. The service will begin at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 7:00 p.m., allowing friends and family to come together and honor Sharlee's beautiful life.
As we mourn the loss of Sharlee Bee Garner, let us also rejoice in the memories we shared with her. She brought laughter, love, and warmth into our lives, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. May she rest in peace knowing that she was dearly loved and will be forever remembered for her kind heart and infectious laughter.
