Sharon Sue Bilby, lovingly known as Sherry to many, passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 80. She was born on January 5, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Will McGinness and Martha Sue Vaughn.
After graduating high school, Sherry pursued college for a short time before finding her calling as a travel agent. She worked at Nammar Travel for many years, where her dedication and passion for helping others plan their journeys were evident. She retired in 1996 after a fulfilling career.
On October 3, 1995, Sherry married Harold Douglas Bilby. The couple made their home in Chelsea, Oklahoma, where Sherry became an active member of Winganon Baptist Church.
Sherry had a wide range of hobbies that reflected her love of life and creativity. She enjoyed raising dogs and show horses, sewing, knitting, and canning. She also had a knack for outdoor activities such as fishing and shooting, which brought her great joy.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Martha McGinness; her husband, Harold Douglas Bilby; her son, Robert Philion; her daughter, Tami Stoilkovich; and her brother, Wesley McGinness.
She is survived by her cherished grandchildren: Kendrick Philion, Teagan Stoilkovich, and Graydon Stoilkovich, and daughter-in-law, Shelia Philion who will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.
Sherry will be remembered as a strong, passionate, and multifaceted woman who lived her life with purpose and joy. Her warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
