Sharon passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016, at the age of 68.
The daughter of William “Albert” and Wilma England Mount was born June 17, 1948 in Claremore. Her childhood was spent in the Claremore area where she also attended school. After finishing school, Sharon traveled a short while before returning back to Oklahoma in the early 1970's. She settled in Chelsea to be near her family. There, she would eventually take a job working as a waitress at Cattleman's Restaurant. While working her shift one afternoon, she met young ranch hand Alan Harris. They would marry on April 2, 1976.
Over the next several years, Sharon continued with her strong work ethic, most always working two jobs to help support her family. Many of those years were spent as a police dispatcher and as a waitress at the Main Street Diner. However, even with little to no free time, she found a way to open and run several businesses, one of which was Town and Country Fashions.
In her spare time, Sharon had a few past times that she truly enjoyed. She loved spending time with her family whether it was traveling with her sisters to Branson, or spending time at home with her husband, children and grandchildren. Then on those days that she wanted to be left alone, Sharon often found herself on the couch wrapped up with one of her favorite novels. She is preceded in death by her mother, Wilma and husband, Tom Patterson; father, William “Albert” Mount and grandsons, Jonathan and Evan Haley.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Harris of the home; children, Ronnie Quigley of Boley, Teresa Quigley of Lisle, Illinois, Jamie Quigley and wife, Kim, of Chelsea, and Brandi Harris of Ponca City; grandchildren, Kristy Quigley, Steven Quigley, Jeff (Jaran) Haley, Ami Haley, Maddox Quigley, Logan Quigley, Ellis Harris, Blake Ardrey, Jaycee Ardrey and Emoree Ardrey; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Meeks and husband Jerry of Foyil, Shirley Adair and husband Rick of Chelsea, brother, Tom Patterson and wife Felicia of Foyil, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
