Shelba Lee Judd

Shelba Lee Judd, born on November 3, 1936, to Elmer and Bonita Taylor, Taber in Lamont, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones. Shelba graduated from Lamont High School with the class of 1954.

Throughout her life, Shelba nurtured a love for working with her hands. She found great joy in quilting, sewing, woodcrafts, canning, and tending to her garden. Her creative spirit was matched only by her faith, as she was a long-time member of the South Highway 88 Church of Christ, where she contributed to the community for many years.

Shelba is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Dennis, Wayne, and Delbert Taylor, her sister Anita Heusel, and her beloved granddaughters Johanna Judd and Tamera Judd.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Earl Judd, of the home, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. She leaves behind a legacy of family, including her children: Russell Judd and wife Cindy of Claremore, Bruce Judd and wife Valerie of Claremore, and Cindy Clawson and husband Martin of West Fork, Arkansas.

Shelba’s memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Eric Judd and wife Erica of New Zealand, Stephanie Judd of Claremore, Jessica Hodge and husband Matt of Lafayette, Indiana, Jennifer Hill and husband David of Claremore, Janette Williams and husband Andrew of Claremore, Andrea Hines and husband Andrew of Claremore, Dana Clawson of Springdale, Arkansas, Jillian Mealin and husband Ryan of Claremore, and Christie Clawson of Kansas City, Missouri. Shelba was also blessed with 21 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother J.W. Taylor of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, her brother-in-law Gordon Heusel of Ponca City, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Shelba will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and devotion to her family and community. Her kindness and loving presence touched many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
