Sherry Ann Froman, loving wife, mother of three, and Nanna of three, passed away at age sixty. She embraced life with a heart yearning for sandy shores and hands lovingly nurturing her flowers and the people around her. She passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and passion for serving. Her life was a testament to the beauty of pursuing one's passions.
She and her husband Cary raised their family in Claremore, Oklahoma. While her roots were forever planted in Tennessee, Sherry was drawn to the allure of sandy beaches and driven by her pursuit of beauty, wonderment, and boundless curiosity. At home, her hands found solace in the garden, coaxing life from the earth as a reflection of the warmth she bestowed upon her family and friends.
Taking cues from her parents, Mary Ellen Penick and James Penick, Sherry was an avid genealogist, unraveling the threads of history to connect generations and preserve stories. Her southern cooking was a testament to her love for tradition and high standards, and her scrapbooking skills captured elusive moments in time with artistic flair.
A devoted mother, Sherry's nurturing enriched the lives of her children, Joshua Froman, Madelaina “Maddie” Froman, and Margaret “Meggie” Froman-Knight, instilling in them a love for exploration, creativity, and the joy of family. Her memory will forever inspire those who knew her.
In honoring Sherry's memory, her family encourages all to embrace life's wonders – tending to the beauty around them. A celebration of Sherry Froman's life will be held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, Mon. Sep. 4, 2023 at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P. O. Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486 or MDAnderson.org/Gifts.
As the waves embrace the shore and blossoms bloom in her garden, Sherry's essence lives on in the hearts she touched and the memories she crafted."
