Graveside service for lifetime Claremore resident, Sheryl Lynn Chambers, will be 1 p.m., Mon., April 23, at Washington Cemetery with Rev. Phil Fredrickson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory.
Sheryl died Tues., April 17, 2012, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 64.
The daughter of Shelby Ray Hardison and Marjorie (Gouard) Hipp was born Dec. 6, 1947, in Claremore. Sheryl graduated from Claremore High School in 1966, and attended Claremore Beauty College. On Oct. 29, 1971, she married Vernon Chambers. Sheryl was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed being a caretaker to her family and friends. Sheryl also enjoyed sewing, painting, arts and crafts, writing, and tending her flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Ray Hardison; brother, Gerald Gouard; and half-brother, Ray Hardison.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Vernon of the home; children: Adam Chambers and wife, Fae of Seattle, WA, and Samantha Chambers of Tulsa; mother, Marjorie Hipp and husband, John of Claremore; sisters: Ruth Medrano of Louisiana, and Beverly Jones, Deborah Roach, Jennifer Granger, Vickie Mullikin, Cindy Hipp, and Pamela Taylor all of Claremore.
