Sophia "Sunny" Xavier Roe

Celebration of life services will be held on May 20, 2023, at 10:30am at Claremore First United Methodist Church. Sunny passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the age of 105.

Sunny was born on April 24, 1918, in Hartford, CT to Peter and Mary Ozga. In 1978, Sunny and her husband Ralph moved to the Claremore area where she would begin working in her community and her church. After Ralph passed away, Sunny took comfort in helping others and in her volunteer work. Sunny cooked for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years, helped prepare meals at the Methodist church and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her children until just a few years ago. Sunny was a faithful member at FUMC and sat on the same pew for many years. She loved the Lord and enjoyed being able to help others in any way she possibly could. This wonderful lady will be missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on through those she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the FUMC Pantry in Sunny's name.
