The daughter of Roy and Martha Tuttle Buster was born October 7, 1941 in rural Caney, Kansas in the community of Tyro. She attended Tyro elementary and Caney High School graduating in 1959. On October 25, 1958 she married Bernard Joe Kennedy in Bartlesville. After their marriage Joe went off to the service and Sue remained in Caney. In 1964 she and Joe moved to Broken Arrow. She began working and Southside elementary as a teachers aid, and as one of the bakers in the cafeteria. In 1977 she took a job working for Arkansas Valley State Bank in the loan department, where she worked for over 30 years. In 1985 wanting to move to a more rural community, she and her family moved to Inola. There she became active in Calvary Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed taking the 5th wheel to the lake. There she would enjoy fishing and sitting by the campfire. However most of her enjoyment came when she was with her family.
