Service celebrating the life of Susan K. Diacon will be 10:00a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at First Baptist Church Inola; burial will follow at Sweeten Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Inola Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 1—8. Susan passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the age of 62.

Born March 22, 1952 in Knoxville, Iowa, to Clifford and Pauline (Fletcher) Johnson, Susan was reared and educated in Broken Arrow, graduating high school there. She continued her education by attending OSU. In May of 1970 Susan married John Diacon and the couple made their first home in Broken Arrow, before moving to Inola in 1982. In 1987 Susan began a career with the Inola Public Schools.

A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Susan loved taking care of her family. She sacrificed to give them everything they needed. Susan made sure that each family member was remembered on their birth day and anniversary with a card and a cake. Growing up as an only child, Susan had a special bond with her cousins and when she married John, she loved having a big family to dote on.

Those family members that survive include her husband John Diacon; her children Jonna Padgett and husband Bryan and John C. Diacon and wife Candie all of Inola; her grandchildren Colton and Casey Padgett and Emily, Dalton, Jacob and Jarrett Diacon; her brothers and sisters-law Jack Diacon and wife Billie, Marilyn Siva and husband Tony and Melody Freeman and husband Mike and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
