Celebrating the Life of SUSAN YVONNE KING
January 3, 1952 - April 17, 2021
On April 17, Susan King, loving wife and mother of five children passed away at the age of 69. She went to heaven surrounded by her children and grandchildren as we sang worship songs. We are so thankful for her life and her legacy. She was truly a saint who loved the Lord. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Susan was born on January 3, 1952 in Kabul, Afghanistan to Norman and Rachel Schottin.
She married Robert Krahl on October 9, 1976. Later they legally changed their last name to King.
Together they raised Daniel, Melody, Stephen, Esther, and David.
Susan was a loving mother and friend. She raised her children to love Jesus and she enjoyed spending time with them.
She organized the Kabul Afghanistan Reunion, a prayer network for Afghanistan.
Robert and Susan graduated from Victory’s mission school in 1988. She served God as a missionary in Juarez, Mexico for twenty years and as a school teacher in Afghanistan for eleven years.
She is survived by her siblings Gail, Priscilla and Tom, her husband, her five children, and five grandchildren.
Part of her legacy is our ongoing outreach in Afghanistan and we ask you to please stand with us as we continue the work in Afghanistan.
Instead of sending flowers, we are asking people to give to the Susan King Memorial Fund so her legacy of ministry and love can continue.
