Susie Johns

Funeral service for Sharron "Susie" Johns will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Charles Sandusky will officiate. Burial will follow in Chelsea Cemetery .
Susie passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the age of 71.

The daughter of Willard and Lois Victory Brumback was born August 12, 1942 in Claremore. She attended Chelsea schools, graduating in the class of 1960. After graduating Susie went to work for SWB Telephone Co in Chelsea . On July 8, 1961 she married the love of her life, Ralph Johns. In 1963 Ralph enlisted into the Army and after basic training they were stationed in Fort Carson Colorado . In 1964 he received his orders for Germany , so Susie moved to Tulsa and started her career with Hale-Halsell Company, retiring in 2006. When Ralph was discharged they continued to make their home in Tulsa . Susie loved shopping, especially for her two Granddaughters which were the love of her life. Susie was a family person, she truly loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lois Brumback, brother, Lawrence Brumback, and husband Ralph Johns.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharrie Holt and husband, Brian of Tahlequah; granddaughters: Amber Holt of Tulsa , and Christeney Holt of Tahlequah; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Tommy Ricks of Verdigris along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
