T.S. Williams

Services for T.S. Williams will be 3pm, Friday, January 8, 2016 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday morning from 9am until 1pm before the service. T.S. passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at his home with family by his side. He was 83.

T. S. Williams was born July 22, 1932 in Inola, Oklahoma to Thurman Scott and Bonnie Gaye "Knight" Williams. The family later moved to Claremore and this is where he received his education. T.S. married Patsy Joyce Rowen on January 11, 1952 and the couple made their home in Claremore. T.S. started his service career in Claremore as a police officer. After 5 years on the force he began working with the fire department. He move up in the ranks and retired in 1988 as Fire Chief.

T.S. stayed busy through the years after he retired. He and Patsy would travel south for the winter in their motor home and took many motorcycle trips with friends all around the states. He took great care of his family and was always there to lend a helping hand. Just a few months ago he was building a shed for one of his daughters. Family was his greatest joy and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A hard worker, independent and strong willed at times, T.S. will be missed by who knew him. Those family members that survive include his daughters Lorenda Allen of Collinsville and Cindy Kennedy and Erwin of Claremore; his grandchildren Kevin Allen and wife April of Collinsville, Kristen Curry and husband Cody of Pearland, Texas, Amanda Allen of Talala, Chris Walker and wife Bailey of Claremore; his great grandchildren Gage Walker, Quintin Walker both of Claremore, Connor Curry and Cole Currry both of Pearland, Texas and his brother Corky Williams and wife Sue of Claremore. T.S. was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patsy Williams, brother Charles "Tubby" Williams, sisters Margaret Rohr and Joyce Pilgrim.
