Service for Teresa Marie Byrd will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 5 from 1pm-5pm. Teresa passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was 60.
Born November 9, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Paschael and Marie B. (Barrows) Gillispie, she graduated from high school in Chelsea. Teresa married Clyde Ray Byrd in 1983; Claremore was home for the couple for a time.
Family was most important to Teresa and she enjoyed cooking for them and making sure they had everything they needed. She was their support system and kept everyone on the straight and narrow. Teresa loved spending time on the beach and wanted to take a trip back soon.
Those family members that survive include her husband Clyde of the home; her children Amy Aston, Amanda Byrd, Ashley Byrd, Brandy Byrd, Dusty Byrd, Crystal Byrd and Emily Byrd; 24 grandchildren and one on the way and 1 great grandchild; her father Paschael Gillispie; her sister Lisa Gillispie; and her brothers Michael Gillispie and Scott Gillispie. Teresa was preceded in death by her mother Marie Gillispie and her brother Christopher Gillispie.
