Teresa Marie Smith

Teresa Marie (Thoroughman) Smith arrived on November 24th, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Terry and Dovie (Mallicoat) Thoroughman. She entered her heavenly home October 15th, 2022, in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Growing up, her daddy asked what she wanted to be, she always answered “a wife and mother.” During high school, she met her future husband Bill Smith attending vo-tech together. After graduating high school, they were married on April 6, 1985. They established their home in Claremore. Their marriage was blessed with three children- Jessica, Lakota, and Jolene. In 2020, Lakota married Britney, adding another daughter to the family. They were further blessed with a grandson and a granddaughter.

She was known to be young at heart, and always willing to help anyone. Teresa had multiple hobbies and always kept busy. She loved to bake, cook, ride bikes, run, fish, work in her yard, and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Teresa will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill; three children, Jessica, Lakota and wife Britney, and Jolene; two grandchildren, Gavin and Ella; two sisters, Dovie and husband Mark, and Jamie; two brothers-in-law, Logan and wife Ria, and Merle and wife Anna; mother-in-law, Wanda; and many nephews, nieces and innumerable friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, October 20th, 2022, at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Schulze officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
