Our beloved mother passed into Glory, on Feb. 10, 2020 in the comfort of the Payne homestead of her grandparents Doc and Zona Mae.
The fourth child of Waymon Bean and Pauline Payne, Tonna was born in Tulsa on Dec. 16, 1944, having aged 75 years and 56 days.
She graduated from Willcox High in 1963, Willcox AZ. She completed a year of study at Eastern AZ. College in Thatcher, AZ. She earned a certificate in Cosmetology at Yuma School of Beauty, in AZ, 1974. Her career spanned 40 years, she raised we four children as a single mother.
Tonna married three times. Firstly, Robbie Robison, her high school sweetheart, and father of her three daughters. They became a 10 year military family. Secondly, Vince Ludinich, the father of her only son, also an active-duty Marine. And finally, the love of her life, Andrew ‘A.L’ Bell, she widowed in 1986.
Each morning, mother repeated, “Study hard.” To her credit, we four children earned bachelor’s degrees.
Mother was a beautiful woman that chose to live a humble existence. Her joy in life, was to watch her three grandsons in their sporting events. Mowing, breaking bread, and talking on the phone were among her favorite pastimes. She was the perpetual caregiver, having exhibited compassion.
Tonna is survived by her four children, and two siblings; Darla Anné and her husband Scott, of TX, and their children, Andrew Cox of TX, and Gabrielle Cox Pitts and her husband Travis of CO. Cinda Kathryn and her son Brandon Robbins, both of FL, Rebecca Lynn of FL, and children Lauren Baker, and Austin Hull, both of OK. Vincent John and his wife Kelli, of OK, and his sons Mark Ludinich and his wife McKenzie, of GA, Mitchell Ludinich of KS, and David Ludinich, of OK. Brother Joe Bean and his wife Donna of OK, and sister Lisa and her husband Randall of OK. Both Bo and Wardena Bean, preceded their sister in Glory.
You shall never be forgotten mother. You protected us with ferocity of a lioness, you will be loved always.
