Travis G. Shelton

Services for Travis Gordon Shelton will be 10:00a.m., Thursday, December 17, at Gregory Baptist Church. Friends may visit at the Inola Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 16 from 1pm--8pm, with family receiving visitors from 6pm--8pm. Travis passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the age of 36.

Born November 14, 1979 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Keith and Mary (Easter) Shelton, Travis was reared and educated in Catoosa. Following his schooling, he began working for his dad building metal buildings. With on the job training and natural talent, Travis later began a welding career.

On March 23, 2015 he married Jennifer and the couple made their home in Inola. When Travis wasn't hard at work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, 4 wheelers and taking care of his lawn. He was the kind of person that wanted to help others in need and could light up a room with his smile. Travis loved his family more than anything, as they were everything to him. He also had a love for music and he played the guitar.

Those family members that survive include his wife Jennifer of their home; his children Dayton Casey, Parker Shelton, Rebecca Finney, Patricia Luton and Michael Luton; his parents Keith and Mary Shelton; his brother Matthew Shelton and wife Kim and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents.
