Verna Yvonne Wright

Funeral service for Verna Yvonne Wright will be 11 a.m., Wed., Dec. 29, at Gregory Baptist Church with Rev. Denny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 4-6 p.m.
Verna went to be with the Lord Sun., Dec. 26, 2010, at St. John's Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 81.
The daughter of Earl and Audrey (Wise) Findley was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Memphis, TN. She grew up in Tulsa; and in 1944 married Willard Wright. In 1972, they moved to Inola. Verna retired from Zebco where she was part of the management team. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren; cooking, gardening, and attending church.
She is preceded in death by her son, David Wright.
Verna is survived by her husband, Willard of the home; son, Willard LeEarl Wright and wife, Donna of Inola; daughter, Judy Riley of Corpus Christi, TX, and Ann Simmons of Tulsa; daughter-in-law, Linda Coatney of Wyandotte; grandchildren: Denise Lee, Jody Lee, Jerry Wright, Ginger Coffey, Woody Riley, Jennifer Abplanalp, Steven Simmons, David Wright, Sadie McKinney, and Jesse Wright; and 27 great-grandchildren.
