Vernal Carlton Webb, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence brightened the lives of many. Vernal was born on July 6, 1933, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, to his proud parents Ralph Webb and Viola Pearl Webb.
Vernal's journey was filled with significant milestones that shaped the person he became. He attended Cleora Schools where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. A man of integrity and dedication, Vernal served in the Air Force for 4 years with great pride, showcasing his commitment to country and duty. Professionally, Vernal dedicated over 35 years of his life as a talented welder at CRC Evans. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he took immense pride in his craftsmanship. Beyond his professional life, Vernal was known for his friendly demeanor and infectious sense of humor. He had a unique way of making everyone feel special with a warm hug and a firm handshake. His genuine kindness touched the hearts of all who knew him.
A man of diverse interests, Vernal enjoyed nature through fishing, and spending time in his garden. He had a keen eye for target practice and enjoyed every moment spent pursuing these hobbies. Additionally, he had a passion for travel and treasured the memories made during his favorite vacation – a cruise to Mexico where he strolled along sandy beaches.
On April 22, 2024, Vernal passed away in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever. He is preceded in death by his first wife Dana Webb and Barbara Webb, parents Ralph G. Webb and Viola Webb, son Richard Webb, 21 siblings, and great-grandchildren Faith Mariah Ross and Ezri Grace Pennington.
He is survived by his daughters Carlene Tague (and husband Donnie) and Brenda Kay Gray (and husband Aaron), sister Belle Daniels, as well as 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Vernal Carlton Webb will forever be remembered for his compassionate spirit, unwavering love for family and friends, and the countless joy-filled moments he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.
