Graveside service for Claremore resident Virgil Lee McLain will be 1 pm Friday, December 18, 2020, at Washington Cemetery, under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home. Virgil passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was 78 years old.
The son of Oscar McLain and Evelyn Loraina Hamilton was born January 19, 1942, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He spend his working career as a machinist and welder in the steel industry.
Other than working, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children Kelly McLain, Stefanie McLain, Christopher McLain, Jeffrey McLain, and Timothy McLain; grandchildren Christopher McLain II, Abigail McLain, and Jazmin McLain; and cousin Dennis Vanover.
