Funeral service for Virginia Ann Orr will be 2 p.m., Mon., Oct. 10, at Winganon Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Showers officiating. Burial will follow at Sageeyah Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 2 to 5 p.m.
Virginia died Wed., Oct. 5, 2011, at her home at the age of 72.
The daughter of Joe William and Hazel Faye (Jones) Brewster was born March 20, 1939, in Pryor. Virginia graduated from Pryor High School in 1957, where she was valedictorian and FFA Queen. On Aug. 9, 1957, she married Skip Orr. They made their home in Pryor until moving to Chelsea in 2002. Virginia enjoyed sewing, barrel racing, and taking care of her livestock and dogs. She always enjoyed and looked forward to competing and winning against the family at shodeo's. She competed in her last shodeo in the summer of her 71st year.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Skip in 2009; her parents; and daughter, Linda.
She is survived by her son, Chris Orr of Chelsea; daughters: Lisa Ray and husband, Tracy of Pryor, and Lora Ridenour and husband, Louis of Chelsea; sister, Lois Windle and husband, Don of Big Cabin; grandchildren: Becky Barnett and husband, Olon, Shane Ray and wife, Jennifer, Summer Dicks and husband, T.J., Austin Kerns, and Dana Kerns; and great-grandchildren: Meghan and Taylor Barnett, Tacy and Trent Ray, Wrangler Dicks, Levi Dicks, and Cutter Hull.
