Funeral service for Virginia Loretta Tincup will be 2 p.m., Fri., at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Corky Pinkston officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Virginia passed away Mon., May 12, 2014, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 72.
The daughter of Lowell Arthur and Lena Bernice (Smith) Moore was born Nov. 19, 1941, in Tulsa. Virginia was raised and attended school in Collinsville. Virginia was introduced to Jess Tincup by mutual friends on a blind date. Virginia didn’t know that she would be going out with the same guy she had seen laying brick at the Will Rogers Hotel. They were married on July 31, 1959 in Claremore. Virginia was a devoted mother and homemaker with everything revolving around her family. She enjoyed fishing and camping along with painting and making arts and crafts. She also enjoyed bringing old things to life by refurbishing old furniture. Virginia raised two of her granddaughters, and loved calling her grandchildren, “wee people”. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Jess; her parents; and sister, Joyce Krigbaum.
She is survived by her daughters: Tammy Dawn, Shariena Darlene, and Merrian Joy; grandsons: Shane Paul and Teddy Clayton; granddaughters: Loretta Renee Shell, Leota Kay, and Christina Dawn; great-grandsons: Jediah William, Coree Alexander, Colbee Paul, and Bentley Jess; great-granddaughters: Makayla Renee, Talyssa Nicole Marie and Faith Alexia Marie; brothers: Robert Dale Moore and Lowell Dean Moore; sister, Nancy Bernice Moore; and close friends: Becky Williams and Linda Robinson.
