Walter J. Dierolf

Funeral service for Walter J. Dierolf will be 10 a.m., Wed., June 22, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m.

Walter died Sun., June 19, 2011, at his home at the age of 78.

The son of Ernst and Lina (Kramer) Dierolf was born May 1, 1933, in Talala. Walter attended Talala schools and graduated from Oologah High School in 1951. On March 12, 1965, he married Carol Sears in Claremore. They made their home in Talala where Walter farmed until his retirement in 1995. He also worked for Rogers County District #2 for 12 years. Walter was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Claremore.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; and 2 sisters.

Walter is survived by his wife, Carol of the home; children: Damon Dierolf and wife, Sandi of Oologah, Julie Hendrix and husband, Jimmy of Childers, and John Dierolf of Talala; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 nieces.
