Walter James Webster

March 25, 1937 — October 2, 2011

Funeral service for Walter James "Walt" Webster will be 2 p.m., Wed., Oct. 5, at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Erwin officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Air Force will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Walt died Sun., Oct. 2, 2011, at his home at the age of 74.

The son of Walter J. Webster, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Abrams Dowd was born March 25, 1937, in Victory, NY. Walt attended school at Cato Meridian in Cato, NY. On April 24, 1960, he married Randi Lea Crawford in Cato, NY. They made their home in Claremore. He retired from Dunlap Wrecker Service in 1999, where he worked as a wrecker driver. Walt was a member of Owalla Road Baptist Church, and CASTA Tractor Club. He was an avid John Deere tractor collector, and a previous volunteer firefighter for Northwest Fire District.

Walt was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Earl, Richard, and Robert Webster.

He is survived by his wife, Randi of the home; Roxanne Webster of Claremore, Warren Webster of Tulsa, Kenny Webster and wife, Sandra of Claremore, and Jacqueline Wineland and husband, Bill of Bixby; grandchildren: Crystal Webster of Claremore, Billie Marie Pruitt of Pryor, Jami Fletcher and husband, Aaron of Pryor, Joshua Pruitt of Claremore, Dayna Cowan of Tahlequah, Tina Scroggins and husband, Derek of Siloam Springs, Warren Webster, Jr. of Claremore, Audrey Webster of Claremore, Joy Spaulding and husband, Matthew of Chelsea, Brandon Webster of Chelsea, Tina Rainwater of Claremore, Preston Webster and wife, Kassy of Center, TX, Blake Webster of Claremore, Shawn Wineland of Bixby, Anthony Wineland and wife, Casey of Wagoner, Heidi Points and husband, Todd of Haskell; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Gertrude Crawford of Claremore, patricia Ackley of Springdale, AR, and Debra Moss of Goodman, MO.
