Wanda Farris

Funeral service for Wanda Roach Farris will be 1 p.m., Thurs., March 24, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Mike Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Wanda passed away four days before her 86th birthday on Mon., March 21, 2016, at Hillcrest Hospital South, Tulsa.

The daughter of Lester Marion Hibbs and Glady Jeanette (Davis) Hibbs was born March 25, 1930, in Braggs. She graduated from Chouteau High School. Wanda married Edgar Junior Roach and they were blessed with three sons. After Edgar passed away she married George W. Farris and they made their home in Claremore.

Wanda loved to play games with her family including dominoes, yatchee, farkle, and pitch. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, and taking care of her flowers and plants. Her greatest joy and accomplishments were her children and grandchildren.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husbands, Edgar and George; her parents; sisters: Ollie Sanders and Rosie Sanders; and brother, Don Hibbs.

She is survived by her sons: Eddie Roach and wife, Deborah, Johnny Roach and wife, Karen, and Troy Roach all of Claremore; grandchildren: Bridgette Seago and husband, Nix of Claremore, Breanna Perry and husband, Alan of Claremore, Eddie Roach, Jr. and wife, Sarah of Moore, Darcy Brewer and husband, Jordan of Claremore, Alyssa Tatham and husband, Travis of Claremore, Josh Roach and wife, Lezle of Claremore, Tanna Peverly and husband, Tyrel of Claremore, and Kelsey Roach of Claremore; great-grandchildren: Hailey and Seth Seago, Joey Perry, Melody Weber and Ethan Robison, Kaycee and Trey Roach, Halle and Blake Tatham, Jett and Jayden Roach, Myranda, Spur, and Bronc Peverly; sister, Bette Shearer of Claremore; and brother, Lester Hibbs, Jr. of Tulsa.
