Service for Wayne Phillip Cook will be 2 p.m., Wed., Sept. 18, at the Oakhaven Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Michael Clark officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory.
Wayne passed away Fri., Sept. 13, 2013, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 78.
The son of Clyde and Iva Cook was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Tulsa. He was raised in the Tulsa area, where he met Rosie Hiser. On April 1, 1977, they were married in Las Vegas. They returned to Tulsa briefly before moving to Claremore in 1979. Wayne owned and operated C&E Valve, retiring at the age of 62. He loved to travel, shoot pool, and outdoor activities. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, tinkering on cars, and singing and playing guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie; children: Renee, Susan, Mary, David and Sherman; sister, Joyce; 12 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
