The son of Walter and Opal Webb Rohr was born February 23, 1924 in Verdigris, Oklahoma. There he was raised on part of his family's Cherokee allotment land . While attending Verdigris High School he excelled as a pitcher on the baseball team. Upon graduating in 1943 Wayne joined the United States Navy. He became part of the Seabees and was stationed in Trinidad during World War II. After being discharged in 1946, he returned home to Verdigris. That's when he met Margaret "Colleen" Motter. They would later marry on January 4, 1947. Over the next few years he would work as a diesel mechanic in the coal industry. This would take he and his family from Oklahoma to Kansas. After several years at Peabody Coal Company, Wayne decided to make a career change. At that point he and his family headed to Davenport, Iowa. There he enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic. He graduated as a Dr. of Chiropractic in 1960. He then returned home to Claremore to open his first office in the old Mason Hotel. Over the next several years he practiced in Claremore, and was active in the Chiropractic Association. He retired in 1984 after 24 years in the business. After the passing of his first wife, Wayne married Doris McNeil in 1979.

In his spare time Wayne loved to play golf. He and his golfing buddies rarely missed their regularly scheduled tee-times. Traveling was also something he loved. Over the years he traveled to many places with his family and friends.

There were also many accomplishments to Wayne's resume. Such as being honored by the Cherokee Nation, as a Cherokee Native Patriot Warrior. However his favorite was bringing many of his family to the Lord. Including his parents, brother and several others. This also led him to teach Sunday School at Memorial Heights Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Claremore.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Opal; wives, Colleen Motter Rohr and Doris McNeil Rohr; brothers, Ronnie and Kenny Rohr, and granddaughter, Lauren Flett.

Survivors include his children, Arlyn Rohr and wife Freda, Donna Robertson and husband John and Gary Rohr and wife Becky all of Claremore; grandchildren, Shannon Rohr and wife Kristy, Tasha Lunsford and husband Rollie, Colby Rohr and wife Jennifer and Chad Rohr and Wife Kristen; great-grandchildren, Jessyca Stites, and Hayes, Bailey Minor, Jordan, Gunner, Hudson and Creed Rohr; brother, Curtis Rohr and wife, Florence of Verdigris; sister-in-law, Maxine Rohr of Verdigris and longtime friend J.Q.
