Funeral service for Willa Mae Shelton will be 2 p.m., Thurs., May 31, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. Gene Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery.
Willa Mae died Mon., May 28, at Claremore Nursing Home at the age of 78.
The daughter of Arlie and Zelna (Head) Carnahan was born October 8, 1933, in Beggs. She grew up in Beggs and Sperry. On September 4, 1950, Willa Mae married Raymond Leo Shelton in Stillwater. She worked for the Collinsville Hospital for twelve years as an LPN, and as a homemaker. She served as President of the March of Dimes out of Tulsa, and for the Girl Scouts for seven years. She trained dogs for years, and was an active person. She was a very wise woman and had alot of friends.
Willa Mae is survived by her daughter, Ramona R. Kepler of Claremore; granddaughter, Natalia Kepler of California; niece, Kim Weaver and husband, Les of Sapulpa; great-nephew, Jonathan Weaver; and close friend, Debbie Karger of Claremore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; and a sister.
