William "Bill" Arlond Rose

Funeral service for Bill A. Rose will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor T.J. Helling officiating. Military honors will be performed by the U.S. Army. Burial will follow at Ward's Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27 from 1pm--8pm, with family receiving visitors from 5pm--7pm.

Bill passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Claremore Veterans Center at the age of 81.

William "Bill" Arlond Rose was born July 27, 1933 in western Oklahoma. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1952. Then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill and Hazel Hubbard were married on Nov. 8, 1976.

Bill is survived by his wife and best friend of 38 years, Hazel V. Rose of th home; his daughters: Phyllis Phillips of Foyil, Sherri Ferguson of Florida, and Debbie Teal of Skiatook; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and brother Buddy Rose of Tennessee.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sons Wayne Oxford, Bo Oxford, and Dewite Oxford; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
