Funeral service for William Wilson "Bill" McBeath, Jr. will be 10 a.m., Thurs., May 10, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. Janelle Brammer officiating. Graveside service with military honors by the U.S. Air Force will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m.
Bill went to be with the Lord on Sat., May 5, 2012, at the age of 66.
The son of William Wilson McBeath, Sr. and Thelma Mae (Pritchard) McBeath was born May 21, 1945, in Springfield, MO. He came to Claremore at the age of 3 and graduated from Claremore High School in 1964. Bill attended Joplin Junior College and Okmulgee Tech; and was in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He loved to interact with people and that along with his great memory contributed well to his life, in general, and a career in retail sales. Claremore was always home to Bill. He loved to scuba dive in his younger years and to fish and play music throughout his life.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Wilson McBeath, Sr.; his uncle, Virgil McBeath; and his uncle and aunt, Roy and Connie Pritchard.
Bill is survived by his mother, Thelma M. McBeath of Claremore; sister, Barbara A. McBeath of Pahala, Hawaii; brothers: Wayne L. McBeath of Claremore, and Douglas E. McBeath and wife, Carolyn of Collinsville; nieces: Holly Marie Melton and husband, Sam of Tulsa, Hannah Renae Wilson and husband, Travis of Owasso, Rachel Sue Dockum and husband, Stephen of Tulsa, and Julie Ann Beall and husband, Michael of Sand Springs; aunt, Mary Alice McBeath of Springfield, MO; great-nephew by marriage, Colby Wilson; and numerous cousins and good friends.
