William Henry Miller passed away March 29th, surrounded by his family. He was 84. He was born in Kingsland Arkansas on October 28th 1938. He joined the Navy, and served from June of 1956 to August of 1959. After the Navy, he joined Spartan trade school in Inglewood California where he learned to work on aircraft. He started work at American Airlines while living in Los Angeles California in 1959. His nickname was "Red Miller" during his time at American Airlines because of his red hair and bold personality. He transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967 for work. He worked as a union representative for eight years, and became union president of Tulsa AFL-CIO. He retired from A.A. in 1996 after 36 years, and later started a small trucking business.
He married the love of his life, Opal Miller, in August of 1971. They had one son, Billy Miller in March of 1973. Bill made his home in Inola Ok with his wife and son. He lived and breathed all things farming, ranching, and outdoors. In his spare time he loved to fish, hunt, and drink coffee at the coffee shop with his buddies. He bred several bucking bulls that competed in the PBR, and loved his cattle herd on his 80 acre farm.
He is survived by his wife Opal Miller of Inola, and his son Billy Miller of Sapulpa. Grand daughter Carissa Devine and husband Coty of Inola. Grand daughter Hannah Miller of Houston TX, and a precious great grandson Theodore Devine. He will be missed very much.
