Memorial service for William Joe Purdom will be 10:30 a.m., Sat., Sept. 22, at Christian Women's Alliance Saturday Church. Pastor's Phil Frederick and Carol Scarth will officiate.
William died Wed., Sept. 12, 2012, at his home at the age of 52.
The son of John W. and Lois Lee (Workman) Purdom was born June 20, 1960, in Tulsa. He attended school in Tulsa and Claremore. William ran William Handyman Service for many years and was also a steel worker. He also worked part time at Woody's Auction. On July 18, 1981, William married Diana Lin Kilpatrick in Claremore. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and going to flea markets.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Orvill Lee Kilpatrick.
He is survived by his wife, Diana of the home; children: William Lee Purdom and wife, Kendall, and Margaret Pearl "Maggie" Purdom and fiance, Chris Woody all of the home; grandmother, Beatrice "Bea" Workman of Claremore; sisters: Brenda Ellen Rippy of Langley, and Melinda Purdom of Texas; brother, Johnny Phillip Purdom of Langley; half-sisters: Glenda Faye of Joplin, MO, and Linda White and husband, Harold of Langley; mother-in-law, Johnnie May Kilpatrick of Claremore; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
